Karyo Studio / How we work

How we work

Four steps. All of them in writing

A build is a promise: what it will do, what it will cost and when it will be ready. Studio makes that promise on paper before work begins, then keeps it, and keeps the build running afterwards.

The four steps

  1. A conversation

What the business does, what the build has to do, and what it must never change. On WhatsApp, by email or on a call.

  2. A written proposal

A fixed scope, a fixed price and a fixed delivery date. One price per project, never per user.

    Within 3 working days
  3. Built, moved in, trained

Designed and built by the people who scoped it. Your records brought across, your people shown how, on the job.

  4. Hosted and looked after

Hosting, backups, updates, fixes and monthly changes, renewed yearly, for as long as it runs.

The proposal

What you sign is what gets built.

The proposal is what the build is held to. It comes within three working days of the first conversation, and nothing starts until you agree to it.

  • Scope, line by line. What the build does, screen by screen and page by page, and what it must never change about how you work.
  • One fixed price. One price per project, never per user, so adding staff never changes the bill.
  • A delivery date.Written down, next to the scope it belongs to.
  • Moving in and training.Which records come across, and who is shown how. Part of the build, not an extra.
  • Care after launch. What hosting and looking after covers, renewed yearly.

Questions

Asked before most builds.

How is a build priced?

Every build is quoted on its own terms: one fixed price per project, never per user, written into the proposal before work begins.

How soon do I get a proposal?

Within three working days of the first conversation. It fixes the scope, the price and the delivery date in writing.

Who does the work?

One team, start to finish. The people who scope the build design it, build it and launch it. No hand-offs and no account managers.

Who owns what you build?

You do: your data, your domain, your content and anything built only for you. You can export it any time.

What happens after launch?

Studio hosts and looks after the build: backups, updates, fixes and monthly changes, renewed yearly, for as long as it runs.

We already have records in spreadsheets and old software. Do we start again?

No. Moving your records in is part of the build, and your people are shown how to use what was built, on the job rather than in a classroom.

Can it work with Tally?

Yes. Systems are linked to Tally where the accountant needs it.
