Hosting, maintenance and support

Website and software AMC that keeps your systems running after launch.

A website, portal or ERP is only useful while it works. Karyo hosts, backs up, updates, monitors and improves what we build, under an annual maintenance contract with written response times and a monthly report. We can also take over a site or system someone else built, after an audit. And if you have no one to run it day to day, we can run it for you.

  • Outages acknowledged the same working day
  • Monthly report on uptime, changes and requests
  • Domain, data and custom work stay yours
Site or system down
Acknowledged the same working day, and worked on until it is back.
Everything else
Bug reports, change requests and questions answered within two working days.
How to reach us
By email at hello@usekaryo.com. Every request is in writing, tracked and reported on.
Monthly report
Uptime for the month, what we changed, and every request received and how it was resolved.

The problem

Most websites and systems are built well and then left alone.

The developer moves on. The hosting renews on someone's personal card. Plugins go out of date, backups were never tested, and the enquiry form quietly stopped sending emails three months ago. When something breaks, nobody is responsible, and the domain turns out to be registered to the agency, not the business.

A proper annual maintenance contract fixes this by making one team answerable for the whole system, in writing, every month.

We treat the launch as the start of the relationship, not the end of the project.

Checklist

What a good AMC should include.

Whoever you choose, a website or software AMC should cover these nine things, in writing. If a contract leaves one out, ask why. Every Karyo AMC includes all nine.

Managed hosting
Someone named is responsible for the server, not just a hosting bill in your name that nobody watches.
Daily backups
Taken every day, kept off the live system, and restorable when you need them.
Security updates
Software, frameworks and plugins kept current, so known holes are closed before they are used.
Uptime monitoring
The provider finds out the site is down before your customers tell you.
Bug fixes
Faults in what was built are fixed as part of the contract, not billed as new work.
A monthly allowance of change requests
New pages, content edits, small features and report changes, up to an agreed amount each month.
Written response times
A stated time for an outage and a stated time for everything else, so urgent means something.
A monthly report
Uptime, what was changed and which requests were handled, so you can see what the contract delivered.
Clear ownership and a clean exit
Your domain in your name, your data exportable, your custom work yours, and a notice period after which you leave with everything that is yours.

Engagement models

Four ways to work with us, before and after launch.

Most relationships begin with a project and continue as a managed service. Take one model or combine them; each is quoted in writing.

Karyo engagement models: what each covers and how it is billed.
ModelWhat it coversBilling
Project build Design, development, migration, training and launch of a website, portal, CRM or ERP, to a fixed scope. One-time fee, in milestones: start, prototype sign-off, go-live.
Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) Managed hosting, daily backups, security updates, uptime monitoring, bug fixes and a monthly allowance of change requests. Yearly. Included in year one with every build.
SEO and growth retainer Ongoing SEO, content, Google Business Profile and a monthly performance report. Monthly, from a three-month minimum.
Managed operations We run the system for you: content updates, data upkeep, report preparation and machine dashboard monitoring. Monthly retainer.

Pricing is quoted per project in a written proposal. Never per user.

What it covers

One maintenance contract for every system you run with us.

The same commitments apply whether we look after a five-page website or the ERP your whole business runs on.

Websites

Hosting, SSL, backups, updates, enquiry forms that keep working, and content changes each month. Pair it with SEO and growth to keep the site bringing in enquiries. See websites.

Portals

Customer, dealer and staff logins, role-based access, notifications and the data behind them, kept secure and current. See portals.

CRM and ERP

The database, the integrations with Tally, WhatsApp and payment gateways, new reports and modules as the business grows. See CRM and ERP.

Managed operations

For businesses with no one to spare: we update content, keep the data clean, prepare reports and watch machine dashboards on your behalf.

Hosting and security

Your data stays in India.

Databases run on Supabase in AWS Mumbai, so your records stay in India. Websites and apps are served from Vercel's global network, so pages load quickly wherever your customers are. Every site and system has SSL, role-based access for your staff, and daily backups.

Security updates and uptime monitoring run under every AMC, and the monthly report shows you what was done.

Built by someone else?

We can take over a site or system someone else built.

If your developer has moved on or your agency has stopped answering, we start with an audit: who holds the domain and hosting, what state the code and backups are in, which updates are overdue and what is broken. You receive the findings in writing, with what needs fixing first.

From there we move the domain and hosting into your name where they are not already, fix what is urgent, and look after the system under the same AMC as our own builds.

What stays yours

Nothing is held hostage.

An AMC should be renewed because it is worth it, not because leaving is impossible. These terms are written into every proposal.

Your domain
Registered in your name, not ours.
Your data
Exportable at any time, during the contract and after it.
Your custom work
Anything built only for you is yours. The platform is licensed while you subscribe, with a permanent licence if Karyo ever stops trading.
Your exit
End the AMC with 30 days' notice and we hand over your data, content, domain and custom work.
Your paperwork
GST invoices, with payment by UPI or bank transfer.

How it works

From first email to a monthly report.

Step one

Tell us what you have

A website, a portal, a CRM or ERP, built by us or by someone else. Send the link and a line on what worries you most.

Step two

Audit or proposal

For our own builds the AMC is written into the proposal. For a system someone else built, we audit it first and send a written AMC scope with what needs fixing.

Step three

We look after it

Hosting, backups, updates, monitoring and changes, with a monthly report. Add SEO or managed operations whenever you are ready.

Website and software AMC: common questions

What should a website AMC include?

At minimum: managed hosting, daily backups you can restore, security and software updates, uptime monitoring, bug fixes, a fixed monthly allowance of change requests, stated response times and a monthly report. It should also say in writing who owns the domain, the data and the code, and how you leave.

What is the difference between a website AMC and a software AMC?

The commitments are the same: hosting, backups, updates, monitoring, fixes and changes. A software AMC for a portal, CRM or ERP also covers the database, user access and the integrations the system depends on, such as Tally or payment gateways.

Is the AMC included with a new build?

Yes, the first year of AMC is included with every website, portal, CRM and ERP we build. It renews yearly after that.

Can you take over a website or software someone else built?

Yes. We can take over a site or system someone else built, after an audit. The audit tells you what state it is in, what needs fixing first and what the AMC will cover, before you commit.

How quickly do you respond?

If your site or system is down, we acknowledge it the same working day. Everything else is answered within two working days. Support is by email, so every request is in writing and tracked.

Where is our data hosted?

Databases run on Supabase in AWS Mumbai, so your data stays in India. Websites and apps are served from Vercel's global network. Every site has SSL, role-based access and daily backups.

What happens if we end the AMC?

Give us 30 days' notice and we hand over your data, content and any custom work, with every login. The domain is already registered in your name, so nothing is held back.

How is the AMC priced?

It is quoted in writing as part of your proposal, based on what the system does and how much change you expect each month. It is never priced per user.
