Best track day and motorsport event software (2026): an honest comparison

By the Karyo Digital team · updated 6 October 2026

A track day needs more than a booking form. The organiser has to take entries and payments, hold a signed waiver for every driver, run scrutineering, put cars into run groups and a running order, get times and results out, keep drivers informed, and ideally do all of it under their own name. This page compares the software organisers actually use for that job, what each is good at, and where each stops.

How we compared

Seven questions, answered from each product's own website

Disclosure first: this page is published by Karyo Digital, which builds one of the options in the table. Read it with that in mind. Every mark for another product comes from that product's own website, checked on 3 October 2026 and listed under Sources below. If a feature is not described there, we mark it as not listed; that does not prove the product lacks it. We have not printed anyone's prices, including our own.

  • Entries and payments: online entry with car and class details, paid at entry.
  • Waivers: a signed indemnity tied to the entrant.
  • Scrutineering: the tech check recorded against the car. See what scrutineering is.
  • Run groups and running order: who is out when, in what order.
  • Timing and results: getting times off the timing system and in front of drivers.
  • Driver communication: telling entrants what changed, without a WhatsApp scramble.
  • Organiser-branded site: entries taken under your name rather than the vendor's.

The table

Eight options, side by side.

✓ means the product's own site describes it, Partial means it covers part of the job, ✗ means we could not find it on the product's own pages.

Race Monitor, Eventbrite and Google Forms are not track-day systems. They are included because organisers use them for part of the job, often alongside a spreadsheet.

Option 1

Karyo Digital (built to order)

Best for: organisers who want the whole day, from entry to gallery, in one system under their own name.

Strengths: Entries come in on the organiser's own site with the signed indemnity and an emergency contact attached, and extras such as media, hotel and transport are paid with the entry. Every entry gets a QR code scanned at the gate. The scrutineering outcome sits on the entry, and tyres are checked against the event's own rule for treadwear, semi-slicks and brands. Sessions run in order, times are recorded per session, driver and car, certificates are generated off the published result, and gallery photos are tagged to drivers, who buy their own. Sponsors and vendors sit in the same console, with an audit trail throughout.

Limits: It is built and set up per organiser, so there is no instant self sign-up: you talk to us first, and it is quoted, not published. It does not include timing hardware. It is newer than the long-running platforms below, and is running real track days in India.

Option 2

MotorsportReg

Best for: clubs and sanctioning bodies in North America running HPDE, autocross and club racing seasons.

Strengths: A large, established event calendar for racing, track days, HPDE, autocross, karting and motorcycle events. Classes, run groups, discount codes and pricing tiers, electronic waivers, memberships with credential checks, SMS and email to groups, and one-click imports into timing software including Orbits, AxWare and Trackside.

Limits: Its features page does not describe scrutineering or tech inspection. Events are listed on MotorsportReg itself, with plugins to show them on your own site. Rupees are not among the payment currencies it lists.

Option 3

RaceSelect

Best for: promoters with classes, pit logistics and staff handoffs on race weekends.

Strengths: Covers road racing, time attack, drifting, karting, motorcycles and oval. Registration with payments, credits and discount codes, waivers, barcode tech inspection, run group and class exports, check-in and tech lists, pit assignments and pit mapping, and email, SMS and paddock announcements.

Limits: Built by a US software company. Its pages do not describe an organiser-branded entry site or which countries and currencies it takes payments in. Timing is by integration. It asks you to book an introductory call rather than sign up straight away.

Option 4

Raceday

Best for: US organisers of HPDE, autocross, karting, motocross and snowmobile events who need registration and memberships.

Strengths: Online pre-registration and fast on-site registration, online waivers, memberships, licences, number reservations and teams, check-in, and integration with MyLaps, Trackside and Motosponder timing.

Limits: Based in Arizona. Its pages do not describe scrutineering, run groups, driver messaging or an organiser-branded site.

Option 5

Rehz Racing Software

Best for: Indian clubs, promoters and circuits running FMSCI or open events with spectators.

Strengths: Built in Bengaluru and in use since 2015. Online and on-spot registration, FMSCI licence verification, scrutineering, championship points, audience ticketing, food and merchandise point of sale, stall bookings, race control communications, and its own timing system for drag racing and autocross, rented per event.

Limits: Its site does not describe online waivers or run-group management. The own-brand option is pitched at federations and regional operators. Its timing system is described for drag and autocross, not circuit track days.

Option 6

Race Monitor

Best for: putting live timing in front of drivers and spectators.

Strengths: Live timing from MyLaps, TAG Heuer, Westhold, Trackside and MotoSponder systems, sorted by position or qualifying and grouped by class, on iOS, Android, Mac and Windows apps.

Limits: It is a timing display, not an organiser tool. Entries, payments, waivers and scrutineering need another system.

Option 7

Eventbrite

Best for: a simple paid entry list when the rest of the day is run on paper.

Strengths: Quick to set up: ticket types, custom registration questions, an event page, messages to attendees, and a check-in app that scans QR codes and works offline.

Limits: General ticketing with nothing motorsport-specific on its pages: no waivers on its registration page, no scrutineering, run groups, timing or results. The event page lives under Eventbrite's brand.

Option 8

Google Forms + Sheets

Best for: a first event with a handful of cars and a volunteer who loves spreadsheets.

Strengths: Familiar to everyone, with conditional questions, answers flowing into Google Sheets, and easy sharing with co-organisers.

Limits: Its product page mentions no payments and no check-in. Waivers, scrutineering, groups, timing and results are all done by hand.

Which one should you choose

It depends on the event you actually run

  • A one-off club day with a few cars and no formal tech check: Eventbrite or a form will take the entries. Plan to run waivers, groups and results by hand, and read how to organise a track day first.
  • A season series in North America, the UK, Europe or Australia: MotorsportReg is the established choice. RaceSelect is worth a look if barcode tech inspection and pit logistics matter.
  • Bikes, karting, motocross or snowmobile in the US: Raceday and RaceSelect both list these disciplines.
  • A venue or promoter in India with spectators, stalls and FMSCI paperwork: Rehz Racing Software covers ticketing, point of sale and licence verification, and can supply drag and autocross timing.
  • An organiser who wants the whole track day under their own name: a system built by Karyo Digital puts entries, scrutineering with tyre rules, sessions, results, certificates and the gallery behind your own entry site. Pair it with your timing equipment. See track day and motorsport event software.
  • Live timing for the paddock and spectators: add Race Monitor alongside whichever system holds your entries, if your timing hardware supports it.

Questions organisers ask

What is the best software for running a track day?

There is no single best tool for every organiser. MotorsportReg and RaceSelect are established registration platforms for clubs in North America, Rehz Racing Software is built in India and adds ticketing and its own timing system, and a system built by Karyo Digital runs the whole day, from entry and scrutineering to certificates and the gallery, on the organiser's own entry site. Match the tool to what your event needs on the day.

Can I run a track day on Eventbrite or Google Forms?

You can take entries that way. Eventbrite handles tickets, custom questions and QR check-in, and Google Forms sends answers to Google Sheets. Neither lists waivers, scrutineering, run groups or results on its own pages, so that work moves to spreadsheets and clipboards on the day.

Does any of this software include the timing hardware?

Rehz Racing Software offers its own timing system for drag racing and autocross, rented per event. MotorsportReg, RaceSelect and Raceday connect to timing systems such as MyLaps or Trackside, and Race Monitor shows live timing from them. Karyo Digital's event system records times and publishes results and certificates, but you still need your own timing equipment and timekeepers.

Which option fits a track-day organiser in India?

Two options here are built for Indian events. Rehz Racing Software is based in Bengaluru and lists FMSCI licence verification, and the system Karyo Digital builds is running real track days in India. MotorsportReg lists payments in USD, CAD, EUR, AUD, NZD and GBP, and rupees are not among them.
