What a car detailing business website needs in 2026

By the Karyo Digital team · 6 October 2026

A practical list for detailing, PPF and ceramic coating studio owners, whether you build the site yourself, hire someone, or are deciding if you need one at all. Most people choose a studio the same way: they search on their phone, open two or three studios, look at the photos and reviews, and message whichever looks trustworthy and easy to reach. Here is what the site needs to do that job, in the order a customer meets it.

1

A service menu that explains, not just lists

A single page that says ‘PPF, ceramic, detailing, wraps’ tells a customer you do those things. It does not tell them which one they need. Give every main service its own page and answer, in plain words:

  • What it is and what it protects against, without the jargon.
  • What happens: inspection, washing and decontamination, paint correction if needed, application, curing.
  • How long the car stays with you, roughly.
  • Aftercare: when the car can be washed, and what to avoid in the first weeks.
  • Warranty, if the film or coating maker offers one, and how it is registered.

If you do not show prices, say what a quote depends on: the size of the car, the paint's condition, full or partial coverage, the film or coating chosen. Separate pages also matter for search: someone typing ‘ceramic coating near me’ is better served by a page about ceramic coating than by your home page, and Google knows it.

2

Before and after photos, done properly

Detailing is bought on how the finished car looks. Your gallery is your strongest sales tool, so treat it like one:

  • Use your own work. Stock photos of someone else's supercar are easy to spot and cost you trust.
  • Match the shots: same angle, same light, same distance, before and after.
  • Label each set with the car and the treatment, so a visitor with a similar car sees themselves in it.
  • Size the images for phones. Full-size camera files are the most common reason a detailing site loads slowly.

3

One clear way to get in touch

Most enquiries in this trade arrive on WhatsApp, so put a WhatsApp button where a thumb can reach it on every page. If you also use a form, keep it short: the car's make and model, the service, and when they would like to bring it in. Then make sure the enquiry lands somewhere you check, say how quickly you usually reply, and keep to it.

4

Proof a customer can check

Customers trust what they can verify. The most useful proof is your Google reviews, because they live on Google, not on your site. Link to your Google Business Profile and ask every customer for a review when you hand the car back, with a direct link sent on WhatsApp. Other proof that helps, as long as it is true:

  • The film and coating brands you are authorised to install, and any certification your installers hold.
  • Photos of the studio itself: a clean, enclosed, well-lit bay is a reason to choose you.
  • The people who work on the cars, by first name if they are happy with that.

Leave out anything you cannot back up. Logos of brands you do not stock and copied reviews tend to be found out, and they undo everything else on the page.

5

Built for the phone in someone's hand

Almost everyone who finds you will be on a phone, often on mobile data:

  • Speed first: no auto-playing background videos or heavy image sliders.
  • Big tap targets for WhatsApp, call and directions.
  • Address, hours and map on the contact page, and the address in the footer of every page.
  • Readable text without zooming, and no pop-ups covering the page on arrival.

6

The local search basics

Most detailing customers search locally. Local search rewards a few simple things done consistently:

  • One page per service, mentioning the area you serve where it reads well.
  • The same name, address and phone on your website, your Google Business Profile and every listing.
  • A complete Google Business Profile in the right category, with real photos and current hours. Our guide to setting up a Google Business Profile applies to studios as much as workshops.
  • Structured data that tells search engines you are a local automotive business, with address and hours.
  • A clear title and description for each page.

7

Your own domain, in your own name

Use your own domain, registered in the business's name, with the login kept by you. A link in your Instagram bio to a page on someone else's platform is borrowed ground: the platform can change the rules, and the address never builds search value for you.

8

What to leave out

  • Auto-playing music or video with sound.
  • Pop-ups asking for an email before the visitor has seen anything.
  • Countdown offers that never end.
  • Long paragraphs about passion and perfection. Show the work instead.
  • Pages you will never update, such as a blog with one post from two years ago.

If your site already does all of this, you probably do not need a new one: spend the time on photos and reviews instead. If you would rather have it built, Karyo Digital makes websites for detailing and PPF studios.

Short answers

Do I need a website if I have Instagram?

Instagram shows your work to people who already follow you. A website answers the questions of people who have never heard of you, and Google sends local searches to websites far more readily than to social posts. Most studios do best with both.

Should I show prices on my detailing website?

It is your choice. If you do not show prices, explain what a quote depends on, such as the car's size, the paint's condition and the film or coating chosen, so customers know why it varies.

How many pages does a detailing website need?

Enough to give each main service its own page, plus a gallery, an about page and a contact page. A short site that answers real questions beats a long one that repeats itself.
